PURPOSE:To simplify structure and to reduce a cost, by a method wherein, in a winder for a plastic film having plural winding shafts placed on a turning arm, the winding shaft is formed slidably and integrally with the rotor shaft of a motor incorporated in the turning arm. CONSTITUTION:A winding core is supported by plural spindle shaft pairs 5 and 5' mounted to a turning arm 2' of a turret 1, a turning shaft 2 is supported to bearings 3, and slip rings 40, feeding a current to a stator, are mounted on the outer peripheral surface thereof. A spindle shaft 5 is spline-engaged with a cylindrical rotor incorporated in the turning arm 2', is moved axially by dint of an air cylinder 6, and is driven by means of a rotation magnetic field generated by the coil of a stator. A speed and a position are controlled and detected for rotation through a detecting shaft 39 rotated at an increasing speed through the medium of a pulley 38 by means of a timing belt rotated by the rotor. This constitution simplifies structure, and reduces a cost.
