PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization and low cost of a facsimile equipment by using a multiple address transmission control means so as to call a transmission destination and allowing a read scanning section to read and scan a transmission original by one communicated at every time a line is connected. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 7 is provided with a micrcomputer as a main control section and also with a multiple address transmission control means. Further, a read scanning section 5 comprised of a paper feed mechanism 51 carrying a transmission original set to an original platen and applying read subscanning and a line sensor 51 applying read main scanning to the transmission original is provided. A multiple address transmission control means 73, when a multiple address transmission mode is designated, calls plural transmission destinations registered in a storage section 14 sequentially. At every time each transmission destination is called, a carrier sheet is turned so as to allow a read scanning section 5 to read the transmission original and a picture signal is coded by a data compression section 6 and the result is led to a transmission/ reception section 8 via a control circuit 7. After the section 8 modulates the coded signal, the result is sent to a line 9.
