<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an insecticide containing an active component consisting of a recombinant virus produced by successively infecting two kinds of strains of nuclear-polyhedrosis virus having different host insects to cells capable of exclusively proliferating each virus. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of strains of nuclear-polyhedrosis virus having different host insects (e.g. silkworm and tobacco cutworm) are infected with one of the cells capable of exclusively proliferating each virus (e.g. CLS79 cell or SF21AE cell originated from relative species of tobacco cutworm and BmN cell originated fro silkworm) and cultured. The supernatant liquid of the culture product is collected, infected to another cell capable of exclusively proliferating another virus and cultured. The supernatant liquid of the culture product is collected and again infected to the former cell to produce a recombinant virus, which is used as an active component of the objective insecticide.</p> |
