PURPOSE:To prevent pH of electrolytic liquid from dropping by blending at least one of zinc oxide and zinc hydroxide in positive plate active material. CONSTITUTION:In a thin battery employing manganese dioxide as positive pole active material, zinc as negative pole active material, and using such electrolytic liquid as containing zinc perchlorate as its main component, at least one of zinc oxide and zinc hydroxide is blended in positive pole active material. Since pH of electrolytic liquid can be prevented from dropping and generation of hydrogen gas from zinc serving as the negative pole active material can be suppressed in this way without using mercury, a thin battery excellent in its safety and dominating in its industrial evaluation can be obtained. |
