PURPOSE:To display a bit of information on a television screen in a required time in a travel, etc., by constituting a device so as to load an information memory in which bits of information of a map, a time table, a telephone number, etc., are stored in advance on a portable liquid crystal television. CONSTITUTION:A battery containing part 21 and a ROM pack loading part 22 are provided at the back plane of the case main body 11 of a small size portable television in which a liquid crystal display panel is used at a display part, and a ROM pack 23 is locked and loaded within the loading part 22 with a locking piece 25, and a cover 24 is provided in such a way that it can be opened and closed freely. After the ROM pack 23 in which the bit of information requested to display is stored is loaded, a mode is switched from a television display mode to an information display mode with a mode switch at the surface of the main body 11, and an area requested to display is designated with a keyboard, and the bits of information of the map of a designated area, the time table, etc., can be displayed.
