<p>PURPOSE:To enable the titled device to perform favorable recording and using a thermal transfer film without wasting it, by stretching a ribbon form thermal transfer film so that it is taken up in a diagonal direction relative to a recording paper fed through a curved path along a platen. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 11 is placed on a platen 12 having a curved surface so that the paper 11 is set along the curved surface of the platen 12, and a thermal transfer film 13 is stretched on the paper 11 so that it is taken up in a diagonal direction. The paper 11 is fed in the direction of an arrow A, whereas the film 13 is fed in the direction of an arrow B' not orthogonal to the direction of the arrow A. Laser light emitted from a semiconductor laser 14 is transmitted through a collimator lens 15, is deflected by a rotating multi-faced mirror 16, and is made to be incident on the thermal transfer film 13 through an ftheta lens 17 and a cylindrical lens 18, whereby predetermined recording is performed. Resultantly, the thermal transfer film is brought into perfect contact with the recording paper, favorable recording can be performed, and the thermal transfer film can be used without any waste.</p> |
