PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance, by providing a sacrificial electrode formed of metal having an ironization tendency greater than that of a valve material inside a valve or at an essential position of a valve body. CONSTITUTION:There is provided on an inside surface of a channel 2 near an inlet 3 of a valve casing 1 a sacrificial electrode 9 formed of metallic zinc having an ionization tendency greater than that of each component metal of a stainless steel as a valve material. The sacrificial electrode 9 is tightly mounted on the inside surface by means of a hexagon socket head cap screw 10. In mounting the sacrificial electrode 9, an uncured epoxy resin 14 is applied to a back surface of the electrode 9, thereby reliably maintaining the electrical contact between the sacrificial electrode 9 and the valve casing 1 and preventing the penetration of sea water.
