PURPOSE:To enable a sharp transfer recording to be always conducted with an adequate density, by a method wherein a thermal head is mounted on a bimetal and a pressing force of the thermal head against a platen is made to vary depending on an ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 4 having a plurality of heating portions is pressed up against a recording paper 2 set along a platen 1 through a hot melt ink ribbon 3, and installed on a head holder 5 through a bimetal 11. Therefore, at an ordinary ambient temperature, the thermal head 4 is free from displacement, but if a temperature goes higher than the ordinary, in proportion to the temperature the bimetal 11 displaces in a direction P to slightly decrease the pressing force against the recording paper 2, which enables a sharp printing fuel from bleeding and being rubbed off to be transfer-recorded. On the other hand, if an ambient temperature decreases, in proportion to the temperature the bimetal 11 displaces in a direction Q to slightly increase the pressing force, which improves the conventional low and unclear printing density to have an adequate density. In this manner, a sharp printing can be transfer-recorded. |
