PURPOSE:To prevent an ink film from being damaged when being taken out, by eliminating a sag of the ink film in conjunction with an operation of releasing the pressing of a thermal head against a recording roller. CONSTITUTION:For this thermal head 3, a handle 12 is rotated in the direction of an arrow alpha to rotate a head bracket 10 upward an angle theta, thereby releasing the pressing of the thermal head 3 against a recording roller 4. At this time, the rotation of a head bracket support shaft 11 in the direction of the arrow alphais transmitted to a pulley 22 through a one-way clutch 23, whereby a used ink film roll 1B is rotated through a belt 24, a pulley 21 and a slip ring 15. As a result, the ink film having been in the state indicated by a one-dotted line B is taken up into the state indicated by a two-dotted line A, thereby absorbing the sag thereof between rolls 1A and 1B. Then, the ink film rolls 1A, 1B can be smoothly taken out to the exterior of a main body 6 of this recorder through a hole part 8 together with a cassette enclosing them.
