The female part (1) of the coupling has a socket part (3), whilst the male part (2) has a pin section (4) insertable in the socket part. In the space between the male and female parts are ring-shaped unions (7) which engage the socket part interior and the pin exterior. The unions take the form of metallic, sprung plates which are axially sepg. distance pieces (8). Each coupling plate has an internal dia. which is less than the external dia. of the pin part, and an external dia. which exceeds the inner dia. of the socket part, where when the coupling halves are joined together the plates are inclined in relation to a radial plane through the coupling in a direction in which the coupling halves are prevented from being drawn apart. Recesses are distributed around the outer and inner periphery of each plate. |
