A pressing-aid is used consisting of a readily dispersible mixture of swellable Bolus alba clay (20-80% by wt. of the pressing-aid) and ligninsulphonates. The clay may contain 1-25% by wt. of a fat uniformly dispersed therein. The pressing-aid is prepd. by spraying on aqs. soln. of ligninsulphonates onto swellable Bolus alba clay. Abrasive-resistant pressings are obtained from fruit offals, potato peel, beet chips, etc. |
