PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a data transmission line and a driving power supply line by incorporating a data storage circuit in a readout means for flow rate data and transferring the data through a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:When a flow rate fetching device 15 is inserted into a storage part 12 on the side of a liquid feeding device, a switch 21 is turned on and a light emitting element 16 illuminates to irradiate the slit plate 8 of a rotation detector 1 with a light beam through an optical fiber 9. Then when liquid begins to be fed, a flow meter 1 rotates in proportion to the amount of fed liquid. This rotation is transmitted to the slit plate through a train wheel 7 and luminous flux from the optical fiber 9 is cut off intermittently and inputted to a light receiving element 17 through an optical fiber 10. Consequently, the light receiving element 17 outputs flow rate pulses whose number is proportional to the amount of fed liquid and the pulses are stored in a counting storage circuit 23. Thus, the flow rate pulses from the light receiving element 17 are integrated and stored in the storage circuit 23.
