PURPOSE:To avoid futile printing operation having a password code out of specification by outputting and recording selectively only a picture signal that coincides with a password code number specified according to desire of acquisition of a specific receiver. CONSTITUTION:When an operater gives a transmission start command by operating the transmission operating section 11 of the terminal of transmitting side, a transmission controlling section 12 starts reading scanning of an original by a reading section 14, and at the same time, sends out read picture signals from a communication section 13 to a circuit 3 together with a password code number inputted from the transmission operating section. On receiving the sent out picture signals and password code number, the terminal of receiving side 2 judges the content received by a status judging section 25, and selects and records the picture signals when the same password code number with the received secret code number is stored in a picture image storing section 26. Thus, unnecessary futile printing operation can be omitted.
