PURPOSE:An anti-cancer drug containing fresh water chlorella as a main component. CONSTITUTION:Fresh water Chlorella (e.g., Chlorella pyrenoidosa, Chlorella vulgaris, Chlorella ellipsoidea, etc.,) is obtained by culture containing 0.1-800ppm iodine ion and/or iodic acid at pH 4-7 in the presence of light rays. After the culture is over, Chlorella is separated from water by centrifugal separation, simultaneously washed with water to tive Chlorella with low water content. The Chlorella is successively dried by spray dry lyophilization, etc. Drying is important with regard to prevention of change in quality of Chlorella. An anti-cancer drug containing the prepared fresh water Chlorella as a main component is obtained. |
