DETECTORS FOR NEUTRON FLUX

摘要

Appts. for measuring neutron flux density in a nuclear reactor contains a detector including a number of pairs of adjacent prompt response detectors and delayed response ones. The detectors are located within the reactor core. Each detector has an insulator positioned between an emitter and a sheath. Both detectors of each pair sense the same neutron flux field. The delayed response detector provides a continuous calibration signal to the corresp. prompt detector.
