The invention relates to an adjustable valve for the piston rod of a vibration damper, which comprises at least one cylinder filled with a damping medium and the piston rod with piston, which divides the volume of the cylinder into two chambers, the piston rod having a longitudinal bore in the area of the piston and above this transverse perforations, especially radial ducts, passing through the longitudinal bore in order to form a passage between the two chambers, closable by means of a slide valve.
