ADJUSTING MECHANISM FOR MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To easily and precisely carry out adjustment by making a magnetic head easily fitted on a head holder or a head fitting plate through fitting-in or insertion and adjusting a tilt and projection quantity by rotating a screw according to the assembly state. CONSTITUTION:Three stepped tongue pieces 17 are formed on one side of the head holder 11, and fitted in some end of the head holder 11 so that is sandwiches the supporting part 19 of the head fitting plate 18. A screw hole 20 is formed on the other side of the head holder 11. A fitting screw 21 inserted into the hole 20 is screwed into the head fitting plate 18 by interposing a projection quantity adjusting flat head screw 22. In such a way the head holder 11 is fitted on the head fitting plate 18 so that the holder 11 can adjust the position in the height direction. A tilt adjusting screw 23 is provided on the fitting plate 18 at the position facing a screw 16, and the tip of the screw 23 comes into contact with the side surface of the magnetic head 6 through the hole 24 of the head holder 11.
