PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an eccentric permanent strain on a passing article by installing a crown-shaped roller onto a curved roller shaft so that a recessed part is formed on the upper part. CONSTITUTION:A rubber lining roller 2 having a nearly crown shape is rotatably installed through a bearing 3 onto a roller shaft 1 which is gently curved. As for the outside diameter of the roller 2, the outer peripheral length gradually reduces towards the edge part from the center part in the direction of length of the roller, and the section in the direction vertical to the roller shaft is formed into circular form, and the upper part of the outer periphery of the roller 2 forms a suspension curve over the direction of length of the roller (saddle shape). Therefore, a passing material is allowed to contact the roller, in the state where an extension force is made uniform, and the generation of the eccentric permanent set is suppressed or prevented.
