PURPOSE:To prevent a diaphragm unit from being damaged naturally or artificially, by a method wherein the covering flexible diaphragm is formed with the cloth of the used yarns of organic fiber, wherein the cloth is coated with rubber or plastics, and wherein the flexible diaphragm is set outside the covering unit. CONSTITUTION:The flexible diaphragm of a covering unit 14 is formed with the cloth 2 of the fabrics of used organic fiber, and the cloth 2 is coated with rubber or plastics 1. Then, with a part of the external side of the flexible diaphragm of the covering unit 14, a flexible diaphragm unit 15 excellent in cut- resisting property is put together in one layer or in two layers or more. Then, so far as the flexible diaphragm unit 15 is concerned, union cloth 12 is coated with rubber or plastics 13, and the union cloth 12 is contrived so that the yarns 11 of metallic fiber may be entangled to the plain fabrics of the yarns 10 of organic fiber. By this organization, the cut-resisting property is improved, and the flattening performance of a movable weir made of the flexible diaphragm can be kept.
