CONSTITUTION:A dancer roll (guide roller) 15 swings in the vertical direction, and the inclination degree of a supporting arm 17 accompanied with said swing is detected by an angular sensor 20, and the speed of a transfer motor is controlled so that the supporting arm 17 is set at a desired position, in other words, the tension of a cloth 1 becomes a prescribed value. When the inclination of the supporting arm 17 becomes a limit, a lever 19 integrally formed with the supporting arm 17 contacts a stopper 22, and the inclination over the degree is suppressed. At this time, the stopper 22 has a pressure sensor 23, and as the contact force of the lever 19 with the stopper 22 increases, the output of the pressure sensor 23 gradually increases, and the brake power for the motor is gradually increases, and the motor is brought into stop.
