Isotope location apparatus intended to be used in medicine, and more particularly during surgical operations on benign or malignant tumours, or during their precise localisation before radiotherapy. It includes a manual, portable and self-contained apparatus 1 for detecting radioactive radiation emitted by a radioactive iodine body 131 fixed onto the lesion, for amplifying the detected signal, and emitting it in the form of a soundwave on the one hand and an FM radio wave to an apparatus 2, remotely situated, for detecting and processing the said radio signal. <IMAGE>
