The invention relates to a device exerting mechanical pressures on the feet, it thus improves the circulation of the blood of sick or elderly people even if they are bed-ridden. It consists of a base 5 fitted with a baseplate 1 at the front which supports the shoe. A plate 4 connecting the baseplate 1 and the base 5 holds the electric motor 9 which drives the roller 11 in rotation. The latter, passing through the window provided in the baseplate, exerts intermittent pressures under the arch of the foot or vibrates the baseplate 1 in order to create bending movements of the ankle. The device according to the invention is intended for sick people suffering from poor blood circulation, in particular following traumatisation or surgical operations, as well as for certain elderly people. It can also be used for mobilisation of the ankle or the foot. <IMAGE>
