PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a recording apparatus, by also using an indication means for taking up and smoothing a long member. CONSTITUTION:When an ink sheet take-up switch 10 is pushed, a recording paper sensor 8 judges whether recording paper 4 is present and, if there is recording paper 4, an ink sheet smoothing program is operated to print one line by a thermal head 6 and a platen roller 7 rotates by a drive motor to feed an ink sheet 1 and recording paper 4 to a sub-scanning direction. This operation is finished when the preset number of lines and a specific pattern are printed. If there is no recording paper, an ink sheet take-up roller 3 is rotated by the drive motor to take-up the ink sheet 1. Because the smoothing and taking-up of the ink sheet are performed on the basis of the presence or absence of the recording paper when the ink sheet take-up switch is turned ON, the switch can be used in the treatment of the ink sheet and the constitution of the apparatus is simplified. |
