TENSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR ROVING OF ROVING FRAME

PURPOSE:To make it possible to wind roving always at fixed tension without requiring troublesome regulation even if kind and spinning condition of the roving are changed, by carrying out belt travel of cone drum by an exclusive motor controlled by a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:In a roving frame wherein a belt 6 wound and hung between a pair of code drums 3 and 7 is traveled by belt shifters 9-22 and roving is wound around a bobbins always at fixed tension, a motor to drive gears 20 and 21, a means 26 to detect winding length of the roving around the bobbin 5 and the control device 30 consisting of a microcomputer are set and the con trol device 30 outputs a fittest travel distance of belt shifters corresponding to a signal received from the detection means 26. Consequently, the motor 20 is rotated to revolve the cone drums 3 and 7 under optimum condition.
