PURPOSE:To prevent a malfunction due to the entangling of a bubble by making longer the bubble entrance part of an angle shaped pattern at the first stage of a bubble expandor. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus which expands and detects the bubble using a bubble driving 'Permalloy(R)' film, so called, the thick film detect- or a magnetic bubble memory device, the bubble entrance part 13a of an angle shaped pattern 13 at the first stage of the expandor is formed longer. Since a strong magnetic flux is generated at the summit part of the angle shaped pattern 13 by making longer a pattern at the first stage, the bubble is attracted to the summit part and no bubble is left at the entrance part. Thereby, it is evaded that the bubble extends over the two stages of pattern rows, and an error can be prevented.
