PURPOSE:To obtain a steel for a stainless razor blade having superior corrosion resistance and sharpness by reducing the amounts of S and acid-sol. Al in a steel, adding Mn to the steel to improve the sharpness of a blade made of the steel, and further adding Mo and Co to ensure hardness and toughness. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a steel for a stainless razor blade is composed of, by weight, 0.55-0.75% C, 0.05-0.35% Si, 0.2-1% Mn, 12-15% Cr, <0.01% S, <0.02% acid-sol. Al, 0.4-2% Mo and/or 1-5% Co and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
