The hydrostatic drive of secondary assemblies of a vehicle has two constant pumps (11, 12) driven by an internal-combustion engine (10), one of which constant pumps conveys pressure medium exclusively to a first load (17), in particular a hydrostatic steering system, via a flow control valve (16). The second pump (12) supplies one or two hydraulic motors (23, 25) via a directional control valve depending on its position, one of which hydraulic motors serves to drive the fan (26) for the radiator (27) of the internal combustion engine and the other (25) of which serves to drive the air compressor (39) of the brake system. If the compressed air container (41) of this system is full, the directional control valve (20) is set in such a way that the second pump (12) conveys pressure medium only to the second hydraulic motor (23) whose speed of revolution is controlled by means of a proportional valve (36) which can be actuated electromagnetically. <IMAGE>
