The invention relates to a rear-wheel-drive toy car in which a transversely extending panel similar to a spoiler is arranged above the rear of the vehicle and extends laterally beyond the outer limit of the rear wheels so that, if the car turns over sideways, at least one of the rear, driven wheels remains in contact with the ground and thus, with the aid of the position of the central gravity of the toy car, the vehicle can fall back again into its normal position. The same purpose is served by a resilient wire projecting from the rear part of the car, if possible eccentrically, which resembles a car radio aerial and, in the event of a frontal collision of the car with an obstacle and its consequent standing on end, prevents the toy car from turning over backwards so that again at least one of the driven wheels remains in contact with the ground and automatic returning of the toy car into the normal position is possible.
