SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photogrpahic sensitive material having satisfactory dimensional stability, enabling the hardening of each separate specified layer and nearly independent of tailing trouble caused during production by incorporating a water soluble polymer, latex and a polymer hardening agent into a photographic constituent layer. CONSTITUTION:A water soluble polymer, latex and a polymer hardening agent are incorporated into a photographic constituent layer on a support. Any of synthetic and natural water soluble polymers can preferably be used as the water soluble polymer. The latex contains a hydrophobic polymer as the principal component and the hydrophobic polymer can stably be incorporated into the hydrophilic colloidal layer independently of the composition by combining a water soluble polymer with the hydrophobic polymer. Polyester or a vinyl polymer is preferably used as the hydrophobic polymer because it is easily produced. The polymer hardening agent is a polymer having functional groups which can cause a cross-linking reaction with gelatin or a polymer having functional groups which can caused a cross-linking reaction with gelatin through a hardening agent. The especially preferred polymer hardening agent is a (co)polymer of a vinyl monomer.
