A device (1) for tensioning or holding high-voltage open-wire lines comprises two parallel strings of insulators (3, 4), wire accessories (2), and cross-arm accessories (5) with single-point suspension (15), with a spacer (14) keeping the strings of insulators (3, 4) spaced apart, and with two connecting links (16), directly connected in an articulated manner onto the strings of insulators (3, 4). In order that, in the event of one of the strings of insulators breaking, the second string of insulators is neither hit by fragments nor endangered by excessive dynamic loading, it is provided according to the invention that a spacing element is arranged between the two connecting links (16) or between the two ends of the strings of insulators (3, 4) on the cross-arm side and that the swivel pins (22) of the connecting links (16) on the insulator side are directed parallel to the joining line between the ends (19) of the spacing element (18). <IMAGE>
