The mouldings comprise straight elements (10), pref. plastics extrusions, arranged to form a fixation for the window panes and to constitute the outer part of the frame (23). The moulding contains a number of cavities (11,12) designed to take stiffening members, pref. metallic. Other cavities can be used for drainage, ventilation, etc. - One cavity (13), in principle shaped like a box girder, is prepd. for cutting longitudinally and is positioned and dimensioned such as to facilitate the manufacture of single as well as coupled windows from the same type of element. The moulding has a number of protruding flanges (14,15) which form at least one longitudinal recess (16) or cavity accessible from the outside. The recess has an undercut portion (17) which, together with the sloping wall (18), forms one half of an arrowhead pointing towards the bottom of the cavity. |
