PURPOSE:To reduce frictional noises during drive, and to facilitate fabrication by constituting one of a vibrator body or a moving body of a synthetic high molecular material. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator body 2 is bonded and fixed to the surface of a piezoelectric body 1 for an ultrasonic motor, and a moving body 3 and the vibrator body 2 are faced oppositely and brought into contact by pressure. At least either one of the moving body 3 or the vibrator body 2 is composed of a synthetic high molecular material at that time. Consequently, surface progressive waves generated in the piezoelectric body 1 drive the moving body 3 through the vibrator body 2. Accordingly, the synthetic high molecular material is abraded, thus reducing contacting frictional noises during operation. Polyimide, polysulfone, etc. are preferable as the synthetic high molecular material. |
