PURPOSE:To make it possible to release the bite between a nut and a nut holder, by providing a means for moving a support base in a direction parallel with the center axis of the nut and a means for moving a bolt gripping mechanism in the center-axial direction of the bolt. CONSTITUTION:After completion of fastening, a torque of a fastening tool 25 with which a nut 6 tends to rotate remains. Accordingly, when a pin 9 is moved by an air cylinder 14, a nut holder 4 is rotated about the center axis of a hexagonal hole 5, and therefore, the above-mentioned torque is eliminated. At this time an air cylinder 20 is actuated to separate the nut holder 4 from the nut 6. Further, the air cylinder 14 is actuated to raise the pin 9 in order to secure the nut holder 4. Further, in a bolt fastening mechanism 22, when the fastening tool falls into an inoperable condition, a bolt gripping mechanism 24 is actuated to release the gripping of a bolt 23, and therefore, the bolt gripping mechanism 24 is allowed to move in association with the operation of the air-cylinder.
