As a mould, a flexible, hose-shaped casing (3) is used, and the cable (1) is centred inside it by circular tensioners (5). The concrete or other hardenable material is then inserted into the casing, and allowed to harden when the casing with the cable inside is laid out in its required position. The concrete is pressed into the casing from one or both ends, and the normal procedure is for dry concrete components to be inserted before or in connection with the laying-out process, and then, once the casing is in position, water is inserted. Reinforcement material in the form of fibres can also be added to the concrete. An alternative arrangement involves a complete hose structure without quick lock which comes from the manufacturer with the cable already runing through. The cable is centrally located in the hose by three flexible suspensions, the radial outer ends of which are fixed to the hose inner surface, whilst their radial inner ends carry a flexible component surrounding the cable. |
