PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive composition composed of a photoconductor containing as a sensitizer a colorless transparent dye having absorption in the range of from far infrared to near infrared and capable of highly sensitizing the photoconductor by incorporating at least one of 2 kinds of specified different compounds. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive composition contains at least 2 kinds of compounds represented by formulae [I] and [II] is which each of X1 and X2 is 0, S, or the like; each of Z1 and Z2 is optionally substituted pyrylium, thiopyrylium, or the like; each of R<1>-R<4> is H, alkyl, or the like; each of R<5>-R<8> is H, halogen, or the like; R<9>, R<10> are each alkyl, aralkyl, or the like; R<11>, R<12> are each H, halogen, or the like; Y is an atomic group represented by formula [III]; and R<13>, R<14> are each H, halogen, or optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, aryloxy. This compound is used as the sensitizer of inorganic and organic photoconductors for improving the photoconductivity and sensitivity characteristics of various kinds of photoconductors, and the photoconductive composition can be obtained by dissolving this compound and the photoconductor in an organic solvent. |
