PURPOSE:To obtain a high performance recording disc low in cost by arranging conductive thin film on a metallic die on which an information signal is recorded, closing a metallic die, packing a nonconductive core in the metallic die, incorporating the conductive thin film and the nonconductive core and recording the information signal. CONSTITUTION:Stampers 3, 4 on which a prescribed information signal is recorded as pits are fitted in advance to the opposed face of a couple of metallic die halves 1, 2. In supplying vapor to the halves 1, 2 and preheating it, winding rolls 20c, 20d are driven to move a film 20 made of a conductive thermoplastic resin onto the stampers 3, 4. After the film 20 is arranged, a compressor 25 is operated immediately to move the plate 24 to form a closed space by the halves 1, 2 via an O-ring 9. Then the inside of the metallic die is made a high vacuum, a polyvinyl resin being the nonconductive core is packed by an injection cylinder 22 to incorporate the film 29 and the core member and pits of the stampers 3, 4 are transferred on the film 20. Thus, a high performance information signal recording disc is formed.
