PURPOSE:To decrease the circuit scale by adopting the constitution that plural basic sections being the cascade connection of a 2nd-order cyclic and a 2nd order noncyclic digital filter are connected in cascade and a linear noncyclic digital filter is connected between the said filters. CONSTITUTION:Plurals basic section 34 are connected in cascade, each is the cascade connection of the 2nd order cyclic digital filter 40 and the 2nd order noncyclic digital filter 50 having a zero at the position of a mirror image of the pole with respect to a unit circle on the Z plane. Then a linear noncyclic digital filter 60 is connected between the filters 40 and 50 to form a basic block 35. In the adaptive control of parameters deciding a polynomial of the denominator of a rational function taking the output sum of the filter 60 as an output and formed by all the filters, the control is executed from the 1st stage basic block to the final stage by a prescribed period each circulatingly repetitively. Thus, the parameter of each basic block is controlled to minimize a value subtracting the output of the basic block of the final stage from the output of an unknown system. The adaptive control circuit is used in common.
