<p>PURPOSE:To form a network system with flexibility against a system expansion by making the equipment number in a local area network for medium access control as to each packet form terminal equipment coincident with the DTE number of a call packet for path setting. CONSTITUTION:The program executed by a control section 2 is stored in advance in a ROM 5 and executed when an X.25 communication control section 3 receives a packet. The management of the number table corresponding an equipment number in a LAN to the DTE number is disused by making the equipment number in the LAN set to the LAN communication control section 1 coincident with the DTE number of the X.25 communication control section 3. Further, the means of the path selection of a packet to be sent is attained by referencing only the incoming DTE number in the X.25 calling packet, then the software load of a communication controller 10 is relieved and the network is easily extended at the same time.</p> |
