PURPOSE:To obtain the titled pin made of Fe base sintered alloy having achieved light weight while satisfying characteristics required by printing pin, by respectively adding prescribed quantities of C, W, Mo, Cr, V, Ti(C,N) and prescribing HRA hardness range. CONSTITUTION:The titled printing pin is made of Fe base sintered alloy contg. by weight 2-4% C, 6-11% W, 3-8% Mo (13<=[W]+2[Mo]<=25, in a formula [W] and [Mo] exhibit content %), 3-5% Cr, 4-10% V, 5-15 Ti(C,N) and the balance Fe with inevitable impurity. HRA hardness of the printing pin is 86-89. The printing pin can be obtd. by combining the material powders, applying extrusion forming, etc., then sintering, further through grinding process. The printing pin can exactly and rapidly follow the driving mechanism of high speed printing as well as the characteristics and responsiveness of the printer can be made satisfactory.
