<p>PURPOSE:To increase safety for driving in an acute corner at night with head lamps kept alight by turning on a cornering lamp when the steering angle of the steering reaches a predetermined value in addition to the time when the direction indicator is actuated. CONSTITUTION:When it is desired to turn, for example, to the right during driving at night with head lamps kept alight, a turn signal switch 11 is operated to the right to turn on a right turn signal lamp 17. As the lamp 17 is turned on, a cornering lamp turning-on control unit 7 turns on a right cornering lamp 27, on condition that a light switch 5 and the switch 11 are on. On the other hand, when the vehicle is steered so largely during driving such as in an acute curve also at night that the steering angle may exceed a predetermined value, a steering switch 13 or 15 corresponding to the turning direction is turned on, and consequently a cornering lamp 27 or 29 corresponding to the turning direction of the vehicle is turned on.</p> |
