PURPOSE:To make a magnetron miniaturizable, by forming plural grooves in an outer surface part of an anode tube in plural rows in an anode tube axial direction as shifting from the front row, and fitting each magnetron cooling radiator plate in these grooves. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 12 is installed in a rectangular direction to an anode axis from an anode 7, while each magnet 10 is set up at both ends of the anode tube 7, and these magnets 10 are magnetically coupled with each other. Plural grooves 9 are formed multistepwise on an outer surface of the anode tube 7 in an anode tube axial direction as shifting from the front row and each radiating plate 8 is fitted in these plural grooves. The radiating plate 8 is set up aslant in the anode tube 7 in the circumferential direction. With this constitution, a heat transfer area per capacity held by a magnetron is enlarged, thus compactification in the magnetron is attainable.
