PURPOSE:To accomplish Hill hold by mechanical reversal check of an output shaft by detecting the forward automatic speed change range and the stopping condition having no intent to start to control two friction elements. CONSTITUTION:The condition where an automatic speed change gear 16 is in the forward automatic speed change range, and a vehicle is stopped without intent to start is detected by means 17, 18, and a friction element 13 is operated by control means, a friction element 15 being not operated. Reversal of an output shaft 12 is checked by the friction element 13 through a one-way clutch 11 to enable Hill hold, and racing of an input shaft 14 is enabled by the friction element 15 to prevent creep. Thus, Hill hold can be accomplished by mechanical reversal check of the output shaft, and during Hill hold, creep can be prevented. |
