NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (X1, X2, Y1 and Y2 are H or alkyl; Z1-3 are O or S; R1 and R2 are alkyl). EXAMPLE:S-Methyl S-n-propyl (4,4-dimethyl-2-oxo-3-oxazolidinyl)phosphono dithiolate. USE:A pest controlling agent having effective controlling action no insects, mites and nematodes. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III normally in the presence of an acid acceptor e.g. n-butyl lithium, and preferably a solvent, e.g. benzene, within -80 deg.C - room temperature range to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. A substituted oxazolidin-2-one (thione) in the starting material expressed by formula II is readily obtained by a ring forming reaction of a substituted beta-amino- alcohol with urea or thiophosgene.
