A large part of the tyre is formed around a core by injection or ordinary moulding, and an annular opening is left in the tyre so that the core can be removed. After removing the core, a seam-joint is applied to give the tyre a continuous, toroidal shape, with or without the addition of a strip of material to the gap. Specifically, the maerials for the tyre can be on interpolymer of ethylene with a vinyl alkacarbonic acid ester, an alkyl acrylate or alkyl methacrylate, a mixture of a crystalline olefine homopolymer or copolymer with a natural or synthetic rubber or with a rubber homopolymer or an alpha-olefine or copolymer of an alpha-olefine. |
