PURPOSE:To carry an ink ribbon positively by forming a feed dog for a feed gear on the periphery of the feed gear, directing an addendum in the direction alternately different in the width direction of the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A feed gear 14 is interlocked with a drive mechanism in the lower section of a ribbon cassette 6, turns an ink ribbon roll for a pressure- welded ribbon core 10, and winds an ink ribbon 3 in succession. With the feed gear 14, each addendum has two lines of feed dogs 14a projected in the directions alternately different in the direction of ribbon width, and the attendum marks of the feed dogs 14a are formed on the ink ribbon 3 in order shown in 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d... when the ribbon 3 is fed. Accordingly, the addendums of the feed gear do not slip, thus positively carrying the ink ribbon with high precision.
