摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the influence of waveform distortion and to improve the performance of a liquid crystal display panel which is made larger in capacity by making the repeating frequency of the pulses to be impressed to the electrodes of the liquid crystal panel in the stage of rewriting display data lower than the repeating frequency of the pulse to be impressed to said panel in the stage of continuing the display data. CONSTITUTION:The clock signal of the frequency f1 (for example, 70Hz) directly outputted from a clock signal generating circuit 31 and the clock signal of the frequency f2 (for example, 35Hz) outputted through a frequency dividing circuit 36 are inputted to a frequency selection circuit 37. The circuit 37 outputs the clock signal of the frequency f1 to a timing generating circuit 32 while the display data continues, but when a rewriting signal is inputted thereto, the circuit outputs the clock signal of the frequency f2 to the timing generating circuit 32. As a result, the repeating frequency of the pulses to be impressed to the electrodes of the liquid crystal display panel in the stage of rewriting the display data is made lower than the stage of rewriting the display data is made lower than the repeating frequency of the pulses to be impressed to said electrodes while the display data continue.
