<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compact light source part having good stability by providing a line filament and bar-shaped halogen lamp to the light source and providing a semi-cylindrical reflecting mirror having an elliptical section to a condensing optical system. CONSTITUTION:The light energy emitted from the halogen lamp 1 is made incident as direct light on a liquid crystal shutter array 3 used as a micro-optical shutter array. On the other hand, the light energy except the direct light can be condensed within the angle allowing for the liquid crystal shutter array 3 of a near parabolic optical fiber array 4 by the elliptical reflecting mirror 2. The liquid crystal shutter array 3 is required to be maintained at about 50 deg.C in order to satisfy the functional characteristics thereof. An IR cut filter 6 exists between the light source and the liquid crystal shutter array and cuts IR components of at least >=620mm wavelength to prevent the incidence of hot rays to the liquid crystal shutter array 3. The near parabolic optical fiber array used in this embodiment has 9 deg. opening angle and 48mm conjugation length and focuses the light pattern controlled by the liquid crystal shutter array 3 onto a photosensitive drum 5 for electrophotographic process.</p> |
