PURPOSE:To make the column and row conversion printing in a unit of line of the document in which a variety of letters are mixed even though the printing line exceeds the form paper size possible, by discharging the document exceeding the printable range in a unit of line. CONSTITUTION:When the temporary print start point is judged to be larger than the printable range, the print start line sequence number stored in the register R3 is subtracted by 1, the print start point stored in the register R4 is subtracted from the printable range and the subtraction result is set to the register R6 as the letter development start point. Thereafter, the print remaining line number stored in the register R1 is subtracted from the print specified line number stored in the register R0 and the subtraction result is set to the register R2 as the printable line number. Then, the register R8 indicating the printing head position of print control register area is set by 0 and the printing head position is initialized. The register R9 indicating the line feed execution position is set by 0 and the line feed execution position is initialized.
