摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress the leak current between unit cells by additionally providing in an electrolyte circulation secondary cell, a leak current preventer comprising a liquid pressure turbine to be driven by circulating electrolyte and a pair of gear pumps coupled thereto. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of unit cells 28 each of which is partitioned by an ion exchange film 30 into a negative electrode chamber 32 and a positive electrode chamber 34 are laminated, then the electrolyte 72 in tanks 20, 22 is circulated thus constituting an electrolyte circulation type secondary cell. Here, leak current preventers 56, 58 comprising liquid pressure turbines 68, 70 and gear pumps 60, 62, 64, 66 are added to each unit cell 28. The electrolyte flowing into a flow-in path 48 is branched by a branch path 94 to drive the liquid pressure turbine 70 so as to rotate the gear pumps 78, 80 for the flow-in path and the flow-out path and the cross-section of the electrolyte is reduced by means of the restricted section thereby the electrolyte is fed intermittently. Consequently, the leak current between respective cells can be prevented, enabling a high lamination to be attempted.
