Polyurethane foam is produced from polyether polyol mixture, polyisocyanate, catalyst, blowing agent and 0-0.05 wt.% surfactant, referred to polyol. Product is semiflexible and has advantages of polyether foam, i.e. resistance to moisture and hardening at low temp. One-shot process is economical, since very little or no surfactant is used. As safety padding in automobile industry. Polyether-polyol consists mainly of short-chain cpd. with low equiv. wt., functionality 2-5, pref. 2-3 and mol. wt. 650, pref. 225-900 (pref. reaction product, containing tert. N, of alkylene oxide with polyamines and amino-alcohols), rest longer chain cpd. with higher equiv. wt., functionality 2-3 and mol. wt. 1800-5000. |
